1922 Map Reveals Location of Buildings

We recently gained access to a 1922 map showing the location of the buildings behind the Plumer Headframe that supported its operation. A little digging revealed some concrete slabs under the forest duff that might be the miner's "dry", the place where they cleaned up and changed clothes. We felt like Indiana Jones!

We will be having this area hand cleared so that we can find the footprints of these buildings and eventually create an educational walking trail to explain their function.
